About Laem Set
Laem Set is a quiet, undeveloped part of southern Koh Samui. It’s far from the busy tourist zones like Chaweng or Lamai. The area is known for its peaceful vibe, tall palm trees, and calm beaches. There are no big crowds or loud bars—just nature, space, and ocean views.
The beach at Laem Set is long, soft, and shaded, with shallow water that stretches far out during low tide. It's not ideal for swimming year-round, but it’s perfect for beach walks, kayaking, and enjoying quiet sunsets. You’ll often see only a few other people, if any. Some parts are rocky, adding to the area's wild, untouched feeling.

Laem Set is also home to wellness resorts, yoga retreats, and a few family-friendly villas. The nearby Samui Butterfly Garden and Na Muang Waterfalls make this area appealing for nature lovers. While there are a few small restaurants and local shops, you’ll need a scooter or car to get to larger supermarkets or busier areas.
The real estate here is mostly made up of private villas and boutique resorts. Many homes are built into the hills, offering sea views and total privacy. It’s not a nightlife spot—it’s a place for slow living, reading, or watching the waves. Electricity and internet are available, but infrastructure is more basic than in the north.
Laem Set is ideal for people who want a private, low-key lifestyle surrounded by greenery and sea. It’s especially popular with retirees, remote workers, and families who don’t mind being a bit further from town in exchange for peace and space.
