Punyisa means
the lady of merit

The name comes from Sanskrit and Pali. Punya is merit, virtue, grace. Isa is the lady. Put together it reads as she who possesses virtue and grace, which tells you most of what you need to know about how these houses are made.

Every Punyisa villa is drawn by Mary Pakamard, founder of M2 Plus. She designs the architecture, the interiors, the joinery and the gardens as one piece of work, then her own family builds it and her own workshop makes the furniture. Her brother Pichet runs construction. Her brother Wichai runs the books. Nothing is handed to a stranger halfway through.

That is why the six projects feel related without ever repeating themselves. Same hand, six different corners of the island, six different lives.
