Beach Clean Up and Run For Tomorrow in Cherng Talay: Why We Show Up for Phuket

TL;DR
  • Porto de Phuket is hosting a beach clean up at Layan Beach on Friday 25 September 2026, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, with waste sorting, recycling and upcycling.

  • The next morning, Saturday 26 September, there is a 5K run from Porto de Phuket to Rava Beach Club and back, starting at 6:45 am. Fifty baht, and every registration goes to the Phuket Environmental Foundation.

  • We are joining both, because this island is our home and looking after it is part of who we are.

  • Phuket is full of life all year round, so you will never run out of things to do here.

  • Whatever kind of life you want on this island, we will help you find the home that gives it to you.

We love this island

That is the simplest way to say it, and it is the true one.

Phuket is not something we sell. It is where we wake up, where our children go to school, where we swim on a Sunday evening when the light goes gold over Layan. SEA Property has been here for more than 27 years. Everything good we have, this island gave us. So when our community organises something for the sea, we do not think of it as an event. We think of it as family.

Two mornings on our doorstep, and we would love you there

On Friday 25 September, Porto de Phuket is holding a beach clean up at Layan Beach from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. You collect what the tide leaves behind, you learn how to sort it properly, and what is gathered goes into recycling and upcycling instead of landfill. Bring your family. Bring your neighbours. Children are welcome.

Then on Saturday 26 September, there is Run For Tomorrow, a 5K starting at 6:45 in the morning from the activity area at Porto de Phuket, out to Rava Beach Club and back. Fifty baht for five kilometres, and every single registration is donated to the Phuket Environmental Foundation. Sunrise, sea air, and a few hundred people who care about the same thing.

Small events. Real ones. That is how a place gets looked after.

This is part of us

We walk Layan Beach with clients almost every week. We know which corner catches the plastic after a storm, and which trees give the best shade at four in the afternoon. A beach is not something you use up. It is something you keep.

We are showing up with gloves and running shoes, the same as everyone else. We do not only sell homes in Cherng Talay. We live here, we clean here, we run here. You cannot honestly recommend a place to someone and then leave its care to other people.

This is what we mean when we say we are a family of Phuket.

You will never be bored in Phuket

A clean up on Friday. A run on Saturday morning. That is one weekend, in one small corner of one subdistrict.

The rest of the year is just as full. Boats out to the islands, morning markets, muay thai, tennis and padel, dive trips, school fairs, festivals, yoga on the sand, new cafes opening in Cherng Talay faster than we can try them, food you could spend a lifetime exploring and still not finish. There are quiet corners for you if you want quiet, and there is noise and colour if that is what you are after.

Whatever kind of life you are picturing, Phuket already has a version of it waiting. Near the sand in Bang Tao and Layan, up in the green above Cherng Talay, or somewhere calm out at Cape Yamu. You get to choose.

And this is what you are really buying on the west coast

Bang Tao, Layan, Cherng Talay, Surin and Kamala are not simply addresses. They are neighbourhoods where people show up for each other, and where the coastline in front of your home has people willing to look after it.

That is not something you can see in a floor plan or a price per square metre. But you feel it on your second week here, and you keep feeling it for the twenty years after. It is one of the quieter reasons this part of Phuket holds its appeal, and we believe it will keep doing so as the island becomes easier to move around and every area comes within comfortable reach of every other.

We are glad to bring good things to you

That is genuinely how we feel about this work. SEA Property sits on Ban Don to Cherng Talay Road, minutes from Layan Beach and next to Porto de Phuket. More than 27 years on this island means we can tell you how a street actually lives, not just what it costs.

Tell us the life you want and we will help you through it. We will show you villas for sale in Phuketand open the full property searchacross villas, condominiums, penthouses and land. We will explain ownership and title in plain language, walk you through each area at the hour of day that matters, and stay with you long after the keys change hands. If you are selling, we bring your home to people around the world who are already looking for exactly where you are.

Come and meet the team, or just say hello. And if you are on the island this weekend, come to the beach on Friday or the start line on Saturday. Meeting your future neighbours while picking up litter together is a very good way to get to know a place.
