In October 2026, Siam Piwat, the group behind ICONSIAM and Siam Paragon, two places that helped position Thailand as a global benchmark for destination development, shared its next dream with the world. It is called ICONPHUKET, and it is coming to Thalang in 2029.

What Is ICONPHUKET?

ICONPHUKET is a hybrid retail, attraction and entertainment destination created by Siam Piwat Group. The group will invest US$300 million (THB 10 billion) in ICONPHUKET, which is scheduled to open in 2029 in Thalang, Phuket. According to Marketeer, the project sits in Si Sunthon subdistrict, Thalang, close to Phuket International Airport and a world class yacht marina.

Part of a Bigger Dream: Synthesis Ark Phuket

ICONPHUKET is one piece of Synthesis Ark Phuket, a US$1.5 billion (THB 50 billion) megaproject by CV Group of Companies covering more than 80 hectares. Think of it as a whole new neighbourhood for living, learning and wellbeing, with residences, hotels, offices, serviced apartments, educational institutions and health and wellness facilities, all with convenient access to Phuket International Airport and yacht marinas.

What moves us most is the family behind it. Synthesis Ark Phuket is developed by CV Group, a Vanich family enterprise with four generations of business leadership in southern Thailand. The project spans 500 rai along Thepkrasattri Road, between Phuket International Airport and Phuket Town, and its master plan was named Asia’s Best Master Planning at the 2025 Asia Architecture and Design Awards.

The team calls it the Diamond of Future Phuket, a new neighbourhood centre that uplifts the island’s identity, guided by four simple principles: Respect Nature, People Oriented, Promote Local Business and Local Culture Immersion. Marketeer shares that the plan also includes luxury residences and an international school, shaped by a design team that includes Urban Architects, P Landscape and Atelier Ten. Within the megaproject, one third is set aside for attractions and entertainment, and Phase 1 is targeted for completion by 2032.

Marketeer also highlights clean energy systems, recycled construction materials, smart city standards and integrated traffic and transport planning.

The world already loves Phuket. The Nation reports that in 2025, Phuket welcomed more than 10.47 million foreign tourists and generated tourism revenue of over 545 billion baht. ICONPHUKET is designed to encourage longer stays and higher tourism spending across the southern region, with 80,000 to 100,000 daily visitors targeted at full operation.

What ICONPHUKET Could Mean for Phuket Real Estate Trends

Colliers International Thailand, quoted in The Nation, found that Phuket saw more than 45,066 new residential units launched from 2021 to 2025, with a total investment value of 469,720 million baht. The same report describes Phuket emerging as an international economic hub on the Andaman coast, shaped by mega projects, branded residences and steady international demand. ICONPHUKET adds one more bright chapter to that story.

- Thalang and the West Coast, Growing Together

ICONPHUKET is in Thalang, the same district as Cherng Talay and Bang Tao. In the villa market, supply topped 1,100 units across 40 projects by the end of 2025, and more than 58% of that supply is concentrated in Cherng Talay. Bang Tao and Cherng Talay are also among the standout locations expected to lead the market, alongside Rawai, Kata, Karon and Phuket Town.
